Gabriella Gutiérrez y Muhs

Gabriella Gutiérrez y MuhsDr. Gabriella Gutiérrez y Muhs received her Ph.D. from Stanford University and is currently teaching modern language and women's studies at Seattle University. She has published two books of poetry, The Plastic Book, a CD-ROM and A Most Improbable Life (Finishing Line Press, 2003). She is currently writing a book entitled Chicanas, Chilenas, and Other Cultural Exiles, theorizing cultural exile and accepted for publication by Lexington Books. She is also editing a book on Helena Maria Viramontes, a major Chicana author, entitled Rebozos de Palabras: An Helena Maria Viramontes Reader. Her academic research focuses on theorizing Chicana subjectivity.
